MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

God has given you a job to do, to use your spiritual gifts and natural abilities to serve your local church and fulfill His Gospel mission. (Rom. 12:6-8) This is an integral part of growing closer to Jesus and building intentional relationships.


With that in mind, Mountainview Church is striving to move away from the politics of committees, embracing a team approach to leading and accomplishing ministry projects.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

  • Administration Team

    Are you organization and find enjoyment in clerical work? Do you get fulfillment from filing, photocopying, data-entry, and putting everything in it's place? Administration is the team for you!

  • Children's Team

    Our BASECAMP Children's Program runs concurrent with our Sunday gatherings. Parents can sign in their children at 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM or 3:00 PM. We could use your help for check-in and snack prep, games and activities, and teaching and reading.

  • First Impressions Teams

    Help us create and maintain a welcoming environment! This is a team for both those who prefer practical projects to be the scenes and those who love meeting new people.

    • Front of House - Welcome: Help us create a warm, friendly first impression by greeting at the doors, assisting with parking, and serving at the welcome desk so everyone feels at home from the moment they arrive.

    • Behind the Scenes - Facility: Serve by helping with cleaning and custodial work, painting and decorating, general maintenance, or building and construction.
    • Food & Beverage - Hospitality: Make a fresh pot of coffee from our local Firebean Coffee Roasters, provide an assortment of teas, or organize snacks and treats for special events.

  • Junior Youth Team

    Is God calling you to invest in the next generation? Do you have a desire to encourage and build into the lives of our middle schoolers? We'd love to have you join our team! We meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 6 PM.

  • Music Team

    Please share your gift with our congregation and the community. Do you love singing? Can you play a musical instrument? Do you have a desire to lead our local church in worship?

  • Senior Youth Team

    Help us build up the church of tomorrow! Meet and serve our high school students, making a lasting impact on their lives. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6:00 - 8:00 PM for fun activities and solid biblical teaching.

  • Technology Team

    Whether you're tech-savvy or just willing to learn, we've got options! No matter your skill level, you can grow in sound production and lighting, slide transitions and filming, or filming and video editing. Come check it out!

Outreach Ministry

Do you have a heart to serve the wider community? At Mountainview Church, outreach is never just a side project; it’s who we are together. Every outreach initiative is designed as a church-wide effort, inviting the whole congregation to serve and love our community as one body.


Whether it’s blessing local charities, supporting families in need, or coming alongside city-wide events, our outreach projects are intentional opportunities for us to live out the gospel together. These aren’t the responsibility of a single team, but the shared mission of our entire church family.


Our goal is simple: to point people to Jesus through acts of compassion, generosity, and service, showing the love of Christ in tangible ways across Whitehorse and beyond.
