CONSTITUTION OF MOUNTAINVIEW CHURCH

6.0 Covenant and Obligations of Members

Approved by Membership Special Resolution on July 29th, 2021


In accordance with Scripture, I will strive to:

  1. Walk together with my brothers and sisters in love and fellowship and remember my fellow Christians in prayer. To cultivate grace and courtesy of speech, to be slow to take offence and always ready to seek reconciliation. (Eph. 4:29, Col. 3:13, 1 Pt. 3:8)
  2. Maintain regular Bible reading and prayer, serve faithfully, discovering and using the Spiritual Gifts entrusted to me by the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 10:17, Rom. 12:6-8, 1 Cor. 12:4-11)
  3. Walk as a reflection of Christ in the world, striving for the advancement of the Gospel by accepting and living out the Great Commission, actively sharing the Gospel with family, friends and others as opportunity offers. (Mt. 28:18-20, Mk. 16:15-16, Rom. 10:14-15)
  4. Faithfully attend Mountainview Church, participating in worship and observing its ordinances, being baptized by immersion, and regularly taking communion. (Mt. 26: 26-28, Act. 2:42, 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
  5. Adhere to the Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Values of Mountainview Church, acknowledging and supporting its leadership, being responsive to correction when necessary, and contributing to its ministries and the spread of the Gospel throughout the world. (Rom. 13:1, 2 Cor. 9:6-8, 1 Thes. 5:12-14, Heb. 13:17)
